The Nassau County School Board wants to revisit its interlocal agreement with the city of Fernandina Beach, and at the annual joint meeting of the two entities, asked the Fernandina Beach City Commission to help the district revise that agreement.

A fitting tribute to a local educator is being created with the Charles Albert Collection, which will be housed in a library named for his wife. Diane Johnson is the former children’s librarian for Nassau County.

Safety complex enter first phase

The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office broke ground in western Nassau for a new gun range March 22. The $1.747 million gun range is the first phase of a multi-phased public safety complex planned near Sandhill Recycle Center on County Road 108.

Nikki Main | For the News-Leader Cats Angels Inc. SPCA is facing a civil lawsuit, accusing the nonprofit organization of not abiding by instructions attached to an October 2020 donation. The lawsuit was filed in the Fourth Judicial Circuit Court in January by Joan and Bruce Barbera.
