Nassau County has a new assistant county manager. Marshall Eyerman has been hired as the new assistant county manager. Eyerman brings with him more than 25 years of experience in finance and management, including 13 years with local government.

Nassau County ranks third of Florida’s 67 counties in the number of people age 65 and older who have received the coronavirus vaccine, Nassau County Emergency Management Director Greg Foster told the Nassau County Board of County Commissioners at a meeting Monday.

State Sen. Aaron Bean has contracted COVID-19 and is isolating in Fernandina Beach as the state legislative session begins. Bean said he tested negative Monday, but his wife tested positive Tuesday morning – the first day of the 60-day legislative session.
HeARTs to Heart, a partnership exhibit from the Nassau County Council on Aging and Community Hospice & Palliative Care, features 17 unique interpretations of the heart motif, using a wide variety of materials, which include paint, tissue paper, buttons, glitter, cupcake liners, photography and foil. All artwork is donated.
