Nassau County has a new assistant county manager. Marshall Eyerman has been hired as the new assistant county manager. Eyerman brings with him more than 25 years of experience in finance and management, including 13 years with local government.

State Sen. Aaron Bean has contracted COVID-19 and is isolating in Fernandina Beach as the state legislative session begins. Bean said he tested negative Monday, but his wife tested positive Tuesday morning – the first day of the 60-day legislative session.
