The COVID-19 numbers for Nassau County

Wednesday, May 20: As of 11 a.m., the Florida Department of Health had officially counted three new cases of people testing positive for COVID-19 in Nassau County, according to a post on Facebook by Nassau County Emergency Management.

County’s on-beach parking reopens today

After approving a consent agenda that included extending the county’s state of emergency for another week, the Nassau County Board of County Commissioners voted unanimously Wednesday to lift the county’s temporary on-beach parking ban at 8 a.m. today, but with several important restrictions.

Fort Clinch has now partially reopened

Fort Clinch State Park is now open for "day use activities." “The park is open with access to the beach and trails. All other facilities (visitor center museum) and camping will remain closed. I will inform as I know,” Park Manager Heath Alboher said via email Wednesday.
