CCHS athletes place at state meet; Green is second

Sophomore long jumper Sean Green delivered the highest finish of any Camden County High athlete at the state Class 6A track and field meet last weekend in Carrollton, taking second.  Green covered 23-7, nosed out by Carrollton’s Khalen Pinkard (23-7.5).

Camden track trio qualifies for state

Camden County High track and field athletes Marin Bograd, Sean Green and Daniel McGuirt qualified for the state Class 6A meet through their placements at sectionals last Saturday in Atlanta.  At Westlake High, Bograd qualified in both the girls 1,600 and 3,200 meters.

South Forsyth tops CCHS girls in quarterfinal

The South Forsyth girls defeated host Camden County, 3-1 last Friday in a Class 6A tennis playoff, denying the Lady Wildcats their first state semifinal since 2013.  “I thought they played incredible tennis,” head coach Daniel Breag said of his Region 1 title team, which finished 21-6.
