Nine Camden County High wrestlers won their pools and a dozen more placed second last weekend at the Danny Byron Invitational in Kissimmee, Fla. The two-day unscored tournament began last Friday at Osceola High School with bracket matches featuring wrestlers from 21 schools.

Lady flag football Wildcats make big strides in first season

The first season of Camden County High flag football closed last week with a playoff loss in north Atlanta, but optimism for the future reigns among players and coaches. Coaches Carlesia Britt and Doug Smith both were extremely pleased with the way the season transpired.

First overall in the boys and girls totals meant first overall in the combined standings for the Camden County High swimmers last Saturday at the Ware Holiday Invitational.  Camden claimed the top spot in 13 events, while outpointing four boys teams and three girls teams.

Hot starts continue for CCHS cagers

The Camden County girls and boys basketball teams continued their torrid starts Tuesday in a road sweep of First Coast. The Lady Wildcats improved to 9-0 with a 71-21 romp, and the boys (7-1) won their seventh straight, 65-61.

Swim ’Cats place second, third at Ware Gator Crawl

The Camden County High boys swimmers got a relay win while finishing second on the team ladder, and the girls placed third Nov. 29 at the Ware County Gator Crawl Invitational. The Wildcats’ Carlos Barber, Noah Corning, Javier McClenic and Clayton Simmer won the 200 medley relay in 1:49.
