’Cat wrestlers edge Buford on criteria for 11th state duals title

The streak continues. Fourteen weight classes couldn’t separate Camden County and host Buford in a hotly anticipated Class 7A duals final last Saturday. Many rounds of criteria couldn’t either, until one finally and happily went the Wildcats’ way in a 32-31 thriller.

Lady ’Cats trip Colquitt, fall to Lowndes in 1-7A games

A big first-half run ignited the Lady Wildcats’ 17th win last Friday, but visiting Lowndes pinned the first Region 1-7A defeat on Camden County the next night.

Third state qualifier highlights Wildcat rifle win

Down a shooter because of illness, the Camden County High rifle team stepped up last Thursday for a 1,155-1,109 home win over St. Vincent’s. “Tonight was the most impressive victory so far of the season,” coach Stephen Banta said after the Wildcats improved to 6-0. “So proud of them.”
