PSA cross-country runners shine at state meet in Jefferson

Camden County PSA sent 20 runners across three age divisions to the state Georgia Recreation and Park Association cross-country meet last Saturday in Jefferson. Headed by Robert Edwards’ second-place 12:01.75 over 3,000 meters, the 9- and 10-year-old boys team placed second at Lamar Murphy Park.

Richmond Hill visits Wildcats in 1-7A opener

With just five teams in Region 1-7A and four state playoff spots, the significance of each region game is magnified. Last season, Camden County launched the 1-7A docket with a 21-14 win at Richmond Hill, a result that led to a No. 2 state seed and a first-round home playoff game.

’Cats run fifth, eighth at Hope meet

The Camden County cross-country boys put three in the top 18 individually while finishing fifth as a team, and the girls placed eighth last Saturday at the Coach Hope Memorial Invitational in Fernandina Beach, Fla.
