The only non-Florida team in the Johnny Rouse Invitational near Orlando last weekend was also the most dominant. The Camden County wrestlers turned the 11th annual tournament into their personal pin parade, sweeping seven Sunshine State schools at Hagerty High in Oviedo, Fla.

The Camden County High swimmers celebrated senior day with 15 event wins, a new state qualifier, and lopsided team triumphs in the Frozen Frenzy last Saturday at the Camden Community Recreation Center pool. Javier McClenic reached state in the 100 butterfly, his winning 56.

Lady Wildcats trip South Effingham in overtime

Asiana Britt poured in 30 points and Taylor Rietveld 23 as the Camden County girls dribblers knocked off host South Effingham, 60-56 in overtime Dec. 13 for their fourth win. Britt sank two threes, grabbed four rebounds, and led CCHS in both assists (three) and steals (five).

Camden’s Robinson finds a match with Piedmont

Piedmont University has been a popular destination for Camden County High tennis players, and the northeast Georgia program has gained another future Lion in Drea Robinson. Robinson signed Tuesday morning at the high school.

Lady ’Cats hammer Jenkins, Johnson

Two wins over Savannah opponents last week pushed the Camden County High girls hoopsters to 3-4 ahead of two more non-region games this week. The Lady Wildcats easily dispatched Johnson and Jenkins, the first result in Kingsland and the second on the road.
