Youth movement afoot for Lady Wildcat soccer

A predictable follow-up to having a huge senior class one season is having a very young team the next. Such is the case this spring for Camden County High girls soccer coach Pam English in her 26th year directing the Lady Wildcats.

Rifle ’Cats win two, remain unbeaten

Two more lopsided wins last week put the Camden County High rifle ’Cats 5-0 ahead of their biggest challenge of the regular season. The Wildcats easily outshot host Bradwell Institute last Thursday 1,158-895, then outpointed Windsor Forest 1,152-1,070 in the home opener the next day.

Lady ’Cats fall to Colquitt, Brunswick, Richmond Hill

Following three defeats last week and Tuesday, the Lady Wildcat hoopsters will get a final shot for their first Region 1-7A win Friday at Lowndes, then visit Brunswick Saturday. The region tournament will be Feb. 13-17, with the No. 1 seed hosting the semifinals and finals.

Rifle ’Cats cruise to victory at Southeast Bulloch

The Camden County rifle ’Cats stayed unbeaten last Friday, getting four individual scores of 289 or better to cruise at Southeast Bulloch, 1,165-1,045. Jordan DeJesus was near-perfect again, her 298 overall tally comprised of 100 prone, and 99s standing and kneeling.
