Two losses at the Kenny Moore Classic in Valdosta last week dropped the Lady Wildcat hoopsters to 0-3 on the young season. On Monday, Nov. 21, Camden trailed former region rival Tift by eight at intermission, and the margin stayed that way by game’s end, 48-40.

’Cat boys fall to Oakleaf in season opener

Within four after a quarter, the Camden County boys dribblers found themselves down 20 by intermission in a 73-40 opening defeat last Saturday at Oakleaf. Earl Murray was the Wildcats’ leading scorer with 14 points, alongside two of Camden’s seven three-pointers, three assists and two thefts.

Wildcats’ playoff run ends at Grayson, 28-10

Like the previous week against East Coweta, the Wildcats’ playoff matchup last Friday night at Grayson ended with hugs. However, the hugs of joy and celebration from a week earlier turned to ones of solace and consolation after Camden County tumbled 28-10 in a chilly second-round Class 7A quarrel.

Boys second, girls third at Camden Pumpkin Plunge

Second place was a popular spot for the Camden County High swimmers last Saturday, as the Wildcats were runners-up in both the boys and combined team standings, and in five events at the Camden Pumpkin Plunge in Kingsland.

Lady ’Cats tumble in opener

Taylor Rietveld notched a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds but the Lady Wildcat dribblers tumbled 61-52 in their opener last Friday at Orange Park, Fla.  Four of the junior’s rebounds were offensive, and she rejected four shots.
