Fitzgerald

Robert Allen Fitzgerald, 74, of St. Marys passed away at his residence on Aug. 2, 2021. Robert was born on Sept. 13, 1946, in Waynesboro, Virginia, and a resident of St. Marys since 1988. Bob was a devoted and loving husband for 53 years to his wife, Carolyn.

Warther

Mary W. Warther of St. Marys and Swanton, Maryland, died at her home in St. Marys on Aug. 4, 2021. She would have celebrated her 90th birthday on Aug. 5. Mary was born on Aug. 5, 1931 in Norfolk, Virginia, to Frank E. and Vera H. Williams.

Long

John J. (Jeff) Long, 61, passed away at Southeast Georgia Health System – Camden Campus on July 29, 2021. He was born on Oct. 22, 1959, at Great Lakes (Illinois) Naval Hospital to Vernon R. Long and Jaunita E. (Chambers) Long of Kansas. He’s lived in Camden County since 1992.

Taylor

Charlie Taylor, 81, of Woodbine passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Southeast Georgia Health System, Camden Campus. Charlie Taylor was born on Sept. 8, 1939, to the late Mr. Boston Taylor and Mrs. Essie Mae (Simpson) Taylor.

Armacost

Barbara Ann Armacost, 59, of Kingsland passed away on July 29, 2021, at Southeast Georgia Health System, Camden Campus. She was vibrant, outgoing, giving, enjoyed cooking and loved her family. Barbara is survived by her husband, John A.

McCrea

Walter John McCrea, Sr, 65, of Woodbine passed away at Southeast Georgia Health System, Brunswick Campus on July 30, 2021. Mr. McCrea was born on Jan. 5, 1956, to the late Walter and Sophie McCrea. He had lived most of his life in Weirton, West Virginia, then moving to Woodbine in 1983.

Courson

Melissa Lynn Courson, 52, of Kingsland passed away at Baptist Health in Jacksonville, Florida, on July 28, 2021. Services to celebrate Lynn's life will be held at noon Saturday, Aug. 14 at Allison Memorial Chapel, with a visitation starting at 11 a.m. until service time.

Peitzmeyer

William “Bill” Dale Peitzmeyer, 50, of St Marys passed away at his residence on July 26, 2021, after an extended illness.  Bill was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and had lived most of his life in St. Marys. His first love was baseball, he loved animals, nature and was an avid fisherman.

James

Seabron Reginald James, 78, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed on Sunday, Aug. 1, 2021. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7 at the Tillman of Tallahassee Chapel (850-942-1950).  An Apalachicola native, Seabron also had lived in Boston, Massachusetts.

Szelist

Ronald Edward Szelist, 74, died unexpectedly in the early hours of July 27, 2021, at Cypress Village Rehab facility in Jacksonville, Florida. Ron, as all his family and friends knew him, was born to the late Louis J. and Nancy P. Szelist in Arlington, Virginia, in 1947.
