Ada Mae McCrea, 63, of Woodbine passed away at Southeast Georgia Health System, Brunswick Campus, on Aug. 30, 2021. Ada was born in Wierton, West Virginia, on June 24, 1958, to Dick and Loretta Hall.

Harper

Teresa Johnson Harper, born March 25, 1959, in Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Sept. 7, 2021, in St. Marys. Teresa lived in St. Marys for many years and will be terribly missed by those who loved and knew her.

Holmes

Ernest Holmes, 78, of Kingsland passed away on Aug. 30, 2021 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.  Ernest was born on Feb. 28, 1943, in Homerville to the late L. and Ida Holmes. He had lived in Kingsland most of his life. Ernest owned and operated Ernest Holmes Concrete.

Vines

Benjamin Levi Vines, 41, of Folkston passed away Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021, in St. Marys.  He was born Nov. 30, 1979, in Jacksonville, Florida. He was a 1998 graduate of Charlton County High School and was a member of the Charlton County Indian Football Team.

Tuttle

Edna W. Tuttle, 97, passed away peacefully on Aug. 28, 2021, surrounded by family. Edna was born Dec. 19,1923, to Will J. and Arrie Prescott Wainright in Charlton County. She grew up on a farm in the Depression years and learned to work hard and help others at an early age.

Pafford

Ms. Joan M. Pafford, 89, of Kingsland passed away on the evening of Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021, in Fernandina Beach, Florida. Ms. Pafford was born on Dec. 9, 1931, in Kingsland to the late Shedwick and Mary Estelle Brazell. “Momma” loved going to sit by the river and talking about the past.

Leonard

Arthur Russell Leonard, 75, of St. Marys passed away at his residence on Aug. 26, 2021. Art was born in Cartersville and was raised in Aurelia, Iowa. He attended the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas, with a degree in business.

Dawson

Ethel Dawson, 61, of Kingsland passed away on Aug. 23, 2021, at Southeast Georgia Health System, Camden Campus. Ethel Lurena Pines Dawson was born on May 10, 1960, to the late Rev. Cossie Pines Sr. and Jannie Jackson Pines in Grove Hill, Alabama.

Cobbs

Cheraine Chianta Cobbs passed away on Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, at Southeast Georgia Health System, Brunswick Campus. Cheraine Cobbs was born June 9, 1977, in Brunswick to Henrietta Nightingale Cobbs Francis and the late Clarence Lee Cobbs.

Bean

Elise Lesesne Bean of St. Mary, 62, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021. For 40 years, she was married to Thomas Murray Bean Jr. Together they raised their children — Thomas Murray Bean III, Amanda Bean Morrow (Jim) and Cameron Pratt Bean.
