Brenda Annette DePew, 70, of Kingsland passed away Thursday, Sept. 9 in Jacksonville, Florida, following an extended illness. She was born Oct. 8, 1950, in Folkston. She was a homemaker and attended the Homeland Holiness Church. Her two loves in life were Jesus and her family.

Clark

Christopher Lynn Clark, 45, passed away Monday, Aug. 24, 2021, at Baptist Medical Center Nassau. Chris was born on Nov. 20, 1975 to the late Robert “Bobby” Clark and Diane Browning Dixon. He lived in Camden County all of his life.

Bowen-Griffin

Michelle Bowen-Griffin, 35, of Kingsland passed away at UF Health Shands in Jacksonville, Florida, on Sept. 8, 2021. Michelle was born on June 17, 1986, in St. Marys to Craig and Ruth Bowen. She was a 2004 Camden County High School graduate.

Back

Ms. Margaret Marie Back, 59, passed away on the evening of Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021, at Southeast Georgia Health System in St. Marys. Ms. Back was born July 6, 1962, in Roseville, California, to the late Billy and Nancy Clink.

Urspruch

Chief Petty Officer Robert W. Urspruch (retired), 67, of Conway, South Carolina, formerly from St. Marys, passed away on Aug. 27, 2021. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, on July 11, 1954, he was the son of Catherine Jacques and Adolfo Urspruch.

Turney

Aaron M. Turney, 60, of St. Marys passed away at Southeast Georgia Health System on Sept. 5, 2021. Aaron was born on May 25, 1961, in Tampa, Florida, to Wallace and Tommie Turney. He is survived by his mother, Tommie Peters of Kingsland; a stepmother, Jean L. Turney of St.

Sutton

Mrs. Vivian Beatrice Warnes Sutton, 90, passed peacefully on Sept. 4, 2021, surrounded by loved ones at her home in Woodbine. Mrs. Sutton, the youngest of seven children, was born on March 19, 1931, in Lake Bronson, Minnesota, to the late Anton J. and Ella Marie Heieie Olson Warnes.

Strickland

Mr. Timothy Douglas Strickland, 49, of Kingsland passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021 at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick, after a short battle with COVID-19. Doug, as he is known by family and friends, was born May 13, 1972, in Jacksonville, Florida.

Smith

Myra Ann Coleman Smith, 52, daughter of the late Benjamin Hadley and Nona Mae Coleman, was born on Sept. 30, 1968, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She entered into eternal rest on Sept. 3, 2021. Myra was educated in Orleans Parish school system. She attended L.B.

Pinnell

Leoniece Davis Pinnell, 83, faithful mother, grandmother, friend and teacher, passed away on Aug. 16, 2021, at her home in Kingsland after a recent illness.  Leoniece was born in Macon on Nov. 27, 1937, to Clark Augustine and Mildred Chambers Davis.
