United States Army First Sergeant Tank Commander McArthur Hill (retired), passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Baptist Medical Center, Jacksonville, Florida.

Mary Helen Coffee, 78, of Kingsland passed away gently with her battle of cancer with her family by her side on Oct. 7, 2021.  The family announces the passing of their beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, wife and friend.

Butler

On Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021 our beloved Stanley Boyd Butler was escorted to his heavenly home.  Stanley, affectionately known as Stan, was born on March 22, 1962, in Jacksonville, Florida. Stan was the youngest of three children born to Ben Butler and Peggy Cuyler Butler.

Michele Ruiz Patterson, 50, of Fernandina Beach, Florida, passed away on Sept. 25, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Fernandina Beach, Florida. She was born on March 8, 2021 in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Dennis Ruiz and Carole Grant. A memorial and celebration of life will be held at 3 p.

Craig

Roger Allen Craig, 70, passed away Sept. 28, 2021 at his home in Woodbine. Roger was born to Roy and Beverly Craig in Winslow, Indiana, on Aug. 26, 1951. He graduated from Winslow High School Class of 1969. Following graduation, Roger attended railroad training in Atlanta.

Smith

William Earl Smith, 79, died Oct. 1, 2021, at home surrounded by his family after a valiant fight with Alzheimer’s. Funeral service were held at Grace Fellowship Church, 1971 S. Main St., Greensboro, GA 30642, at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 4. Graveside service was held at 3 p.m.

Mrs. Annette Michelle Thornton, 60, of St. Marys, passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, Sept. 27, 2021, in Brunswick.  Mrs. Thornton was born on Jan. 21, 1961, in Jackson, Mississippi. She is the daughter of Bruce Harlow and Tanya Hawes. Mrs.

Dr. Farid Ullah peacefully passed away on Sept. 24, 2021, surrounded by his family. He was born and raised in Peshawar, Pakistan.  In 1960 he graduated from the prestigious Khyber Medical University in Pakistan, where he was employed as a professor of pharmacology.

Thomas Franklin “Frank” Saffold, 101, passed away Sept. 26, 2021, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His long life and enduring faith leave a legacy of love, strength and service. Frank loved people, loved to learn, and loved serving others. He was born Jan. 22, 1920, in Vidalia, son of Col.

Mrs. Dorothy L. Thrift, “Wanda”, 68, passed from this life into the arms of Jesus on Sept. 19, 2021, at Hospice of the Golden Isles with her sister-in love, Vicki (Sine) at her side.
