Weathers

Harold Coleman Weathers died as he lived, peacefully and with dignity, on Jan. 21, 2020, at his home. Funeral services will be held at Vineville United Methodist Church on Friday, Jan. 24, at 11 a.m. with Dr. Jimmy Asbell officiating. The family visitation will follow the service.

Wright

Mrs. Juanita Smith Wright, 87, of St. Marys passed away on the evening of Saturday, January 18, 2020 at St. Vincent’s in Jacksonville, Florida. She was surrounded by her family. Mrs. Wright was born on April 17, 1932 in Alma, Georgia, to the late Claude and Grace Smith.

Woodard

Robert Mitchell Woodard, 74, of White Oak passed away on Jan. 16, 2020, at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick.  He was born on Sept. 23, 1945, to the late, Dewey Woodard Sr. and Annie Mae Givens-Woodard in White Oak.

Thomet

Richard Thomet, 85, of St. Marys formerly of Fontana, California, and Ada, Michigan, passed away at the home of his daughter on Jan. 19, 2020.  Richard was born in Ada, Michigan, to the late Alfred and Fanny (Linkfield) Thomet on Sept. 8, 1934.

Raybon

Ellen Ardell Sharp Raybon, born March 17, 1941, passed away peacefully on Jan. 18, 2020, at her home in St. Marys after a long illness. Ellen was born in Laurel, Mississippi. She lived in Bailey, Mississippi, and also in St. Marys.  Preceded in death are her beloved parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Falkner

My father, James Ralph “Woody” Falkner, made his final journey in this life into Heaven Jan. 18, 2020, with me, his only child, Barbara Falkner Rucker, and my husband, Bob Rucker, by his side. My father was born 89 years ago and raised on a farm in Ellisville, Florida.

Williams

Melvin Williams, 56, of Kingsland passed away Jan. 13, 2020, at Southeast Georgia Health System, Glynn Campus. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at Georgia Avenue Church of God in Kingsland.

Thomas

Mr. James Wendell Thomas, 69, of Hoboken died early Saturday morning, Jan. 18, 2020, at Harborview Satilla after a brief illness.   He was born in Waycross to the late Albert Wendell Thomas and Lou Renee Strickland Thomas. Mr. Thomas was retired from the United States Air Force.

Mrs. Dianne M. Thomas, 77, of Kingsland went to be with the Lord, Jan. 3, 2020, at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick. Dianne was born in Indianapolis on March 12, 1942. She was the daughter of the late Letha and Herman Medenwald. She and her husband, Daniel, were married Aug.

Flanagan

Ms. JoAnn Harrell Flanagan, 85, of Woodbine passed away on the morning of Sunday, Jan. 12, 2020, at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick. Ms. Flanagan was born on April 2, 1934, in Brunswick to the late Riley Lee and Gertrude Liles Harrell.
