Frieda Vanzant Gregory, 96, of St. Marys died Tuesday evening, April 14, 2020, at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick. Mrs. Gregory was born in Lessie, Florida, to the late James Frederick Vanzant and Allie Braddock Vanzant. She was the seventh of eight children to reach adulthood.

Dewey White Jr., 94, of White Oak passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020, at the Senior Care Center, St. Marys. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18, at Oak Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery in White Oak. Sunset Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lisa Lee Yarborough Simpson, 53, of St. Marys died Monday afternoon, March 30, 2020, at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick after a brief illness. Ms. Simpson was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, to the late John Yarborough and Frances Pearl Yarborough and had made St.

Ethel Patricia Kitchings Coon, 82, of Woodbine passed away Saturday, April 4, 2020, at her residence following an extended illness. Born in Waycross, her parents were Frank Debenion Kitchings Sr. and Vallie Belle Chesser Kitchings. She is also preceded by a brother, Frank D. Kitchings Jr.

Evelyn Serogia Franks was born on Sept. 1, 1956, to the late Virgil and Essie Roberts. She was the youngest of seven siblings. She dedicated her life to Christ at an early age and continued that faithful journey in her walk with God.

Sharp

Marion L. Sharp, 86, of Kingsland died Monday evening, March 31, 2020, at Southeast Georgia Health System of Camden after a sudden illness. Mr. Sharp was born in Fort Payne, Alabama, to the late John Marion Sharp and Mattie Jean Wade Sharp and made Camden County his home for most of his life.

Virginia L. “Ginny” Hite Quibodeaux, 77, of St. Marys died Sunday, March 29, 2020, at her residence after an extended illness. Mrs. Quibodeaux was born in Washington, D.C., to the late Lowell G. and Elizabeth Murray Hite and made St. Marys her home since 2004. Prior to moving to St.

Benjamin

Donald Benjamin Sr., aka “Holy Man,” 63, of White Oak passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020, after an extended illness. Donald Leon Benjamin Sr. was born Oct. 21, 1956, to the late Mrs. Algertha Haywood Benjamin and was lovingly raised from birth by his father, the late Mr. Eddie “Boag” Benjamin.

Arridina Atkinson, 73, of Waverly passed away Friday, March 27, 2020, at her home. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery off Dover Bluff Road in Waverly. Sunset Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Carlos Alberto Arce-Vera, 32, of St. Marys passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 20, 2020, after a battle with cancer.  Carlos was born on June 10, 1987, in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, to Carlos Arce and Jannette Vera.
