Linda Sue Jacobs, surrounded by her husband, sister and daughter, was called home to be with her Heavenly Father on Feb. 18, 2020, at her home in Woodbine after a hard fight with brain cancer at the age of 72.

Crawford

Carolyn Sue Kiggins Crawford, 74, of St. Marys died Sunday morning, Feb. 16, 2020, at her residence after a brief illness. Mrs. Crawford was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, to the late Henry Kiggins and Lena Nelson Kiggins and had made St. Marys her home for the past several years.

Ellis

Freddie Ellis, 92, departed this life to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, Feb. 14, 2020, with his family by his side. Freddie Ellis was born Jan. 3, 1928, in Philadelphia to the late Felix and Dora Ellis. He was affectionately known by family and friends as “Chief.

Shedd

Timothy “Tim” Lance Shedd, 41, of Kingsland passed away Thursday, Feb. 13, at his residence. He was born Dec. 6, 1978, in Toccoa, Georgia.  He is survived by his wife, Melanie W. Shedd; his parents, Harold J.

Thornal

Fayette Millard “Frank” Thornal Jr., 72, of Kingsland died Tuesday evening, Feb. 11, 2020, at St. Vincent’s Riverside Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, after a brief illness. Mr. Thornal was born in Port Arthur, Texas, to the late Fayette Millard Thornal Sr.

Mancill

Ernest L. Mancill Jr., 65, of St. Marys passed away Tuesday evening, Feb. 11, at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick after a valiant battle with cancer. He was born Aug. 25, 1954, at Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, Florida, and was the son of Bessie Mancill and the late Ernest L. Mancill Sr.

Williams

Barbara A. Williams, 81, passed away on Feb. 11, 2020. She is preceded in passing by her husband, Clifford Williams, and brother, Henry (Bucky) Hendrix.

Riggle

Richard Gene Riggle Jr., 55, of St. Marys died Tuesday morning, Feb. 11, 2020, at his residence after a sudden illness. Mr. Riggle was born in West Palm Beach, Florida, to the late Richard Gene Riggle Sr. and Patricia Gendreau Riggle and had made St. Marys his home for the past 30 years.

Johnson

Evalena Tuttle Brewer Johnson, 80, passed peacefully in the arms of her daughter Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020, after a long battle with dementia. Evalena was born in Cary, Kentucky, on May 13, 1939. She was raised in Straight Creek, Kentucky, but lived most of her life in Florida.

Carpenter

  Raymond (Ray) Edward Carpenter, 64, of Kingsland passed away Saturday afternoon, Feb. 1, 2020, at Southeast Georgia Health System in Camden after his longtime battle with lung disease.
