Brigitte Tackett, 27, and Juliette Walsh, 2, of Brunswick passed away in Waverly, Ga on Jan. 23, 2022. Brigitte was born on March 8, 1994, in Sarasota, Florida, to Bobby Tackett and Aimee Bauer. She was a homemaker, loved photography, rescuing animals traveling and spending time with her family.

Smith

Retired Senior Chief Marvin O. Smith Jr. (USN), of Kingsland passed away on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022. Born April 6, 1932, in Louisville, Mississippi, Marvin retired in Charleston, South Carolina, in 1970 and moved to Summerville, S.C., in 1983 and lived there until 2020 when he moved to Kingsland.

Moore

“…I was born on Feb. 23, 1948. In a wooden framed house in the backwoods of Georgia. The morning was wet and rainy. The doctor got stuck on the way to deliver me. He walked for 2 miles until he finally arrived ….” And so began the life of Roy James Moore. Roy was born Feb.

Steven Edmund Monahan, 58, of Folkston passed away at his residence on Feb. 12, 2022. Steven was born on Feb, 2, 1964, in Agawam, Massachusetts to Edmund and Sandra Monahan. He had lived in Camden County for the past 20 years, coming from New York.

Lassiter

William Albert Lassiter Jr. (“Bill”), 82, died Friday, Feb. 19, 2022, at Community Hospice in Fernandina, Florida, surrounded by his family. Visitation was held 5-7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21 at Bailey Hall, St. Marys United Methodist Church. Graveside services was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb.

Funderburk

Aldreth Bruce Funderburk was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Bruce left this world to be with the lord on Feb. 18, 2022, at the age of 73. Bruce was born to Margie and Al Funderburk on March 25, 1948, in Mayo, Florida.
