Barisano

Gail Joan Barisano, 85, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at the Senior Care Center St Marys. Gail was born April 10, 1936, in Teaneck, New Jersey, to Erwin Gerald Schneider and Eleanor Natalie Raffo. She was a gracious and loving military wife to Louis Barisano.

Bonnett

John Howard Bonnett, 70, of Kingsland passed away Friday, April 16, 2021, at his residence. No services are scheduled at this time. John was born Sept. 26, 1950, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Frank and Charlotte Bonnett. He had lived in Kingsland since 1986.

Miller

Mr. Albert Olen Miller, 92, formerly of Woodbine, passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, April 16, 2021, in St. Marys.  Mr. Miller was born on Sept. 9, 1928, in Woodbine to the late Allen O’Berry “Captain Jim” and Ada L Head Miller.  Mr. Miller served in the U.S. Army from 1948–1954.

Crews

Yvonnie Lucille Chewning Crews, 77, of St. Marys passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021, at her residence. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 17, at Awakening Church with Pastor Sammy Spradley officiating.

Carter

James “Jimmy” Richard Carter of Woodbine passed away Friday evening, April 16, 2021, at Southeast Georgia Health System of Brunswick after an extended illness. Born in Woodbine, his parents were James Arder and Sadie Clara Willoughby Carter. He was also preceded by a brother, George Carter.

DeVries

Helen Lang DeVries, 94, of Kingsland passed away April 13, 2021, after a brief illness.  Helen was born in Passaic, New Jersey, on July 16, 1926. She was married to Kenneth DeVries. They made their home in Saddle Brook, New Jersey, where they raised their three children.

Liatys

Frank James Liatys Jr., 71, of St. Marys passed away March 27, 2021, at his residence. Frank was born March 28, 1949, in Trenton, New Jersey, to Frank and Jean Scarborough Liatys. He had lived in St. Marys for the past 10 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during Vietnam.

Serbin

John A. Serbin, 81, of Kingsland passed away at Southeast Georgia Health System, Camden Campus.  Allison Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Reed

Laroyce Reed, 47, of St. Marys passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 17, at Woodbine Cemetery in Woodbine. A visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 16, at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.

Dawson

Jimmie Eugene Dawson Sr., 74, of Kingsland passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, surrounded by his family. Jimmie Eugene Dawson Sr. was born on Feb. 6, 1947, to the late Deacon Rufus Dawson and Minnie Mae Dawson.
