Chaney

Mr. Alton Chaney (Buddy), 83, of St. Marys passed away Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020, at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Chaney was born April 2, 1937, in Pridgen, Georgia. He was the son of Calvin Chaney and Tellie Jo Chaney. Alton and his wife Audrey moved to St. Marys in 1956.

Nichols

Roger Franklin Nichols, 77, of Kingsland passed away Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020, at Southeast Georgia Health System, Camden Campus. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 30, at Allison Memorial Chapel.

Phillips

Marla Waters Phillips, 58, of Union, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, Dec. 14, 2020, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Marla was born on Aug. 12, 1962, in Waycross.

Lang

Richard William Lang, 69, of Folkston passed away Dec. 21, 2020, at his home. He was born Sept. 28, 1951, to the late Robert Paul Lang and Loretta Marie Hall Lang. He worked with Seaboard Railroad in Kingsland before an automobile accident forced his retirement.

Germain

Johnnie Idella Germain, affectionately known as Della, passed away Nov. 10, 2020. She was born Oct. 20, 1940, to the late Reather Mae Floyd and Hiron Floyd. Della was the fifth of 15 siblings and grew up in a home full of love and happiness.

Stanland

On Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, Michelle Janie Cottle Stanland, loving mother of two children, passed away at the age of 60. Michelle was born on March 29, 1960, in Fernandina Beach, Florida. She was a very happy person who always carried a big smile and loved to laugh.

Guderian

Joseph F. Guderian, 88, a resident of St. Marys, formerly of Claymont, Delaware, died peacefully on Dec.7, 2020, at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick. Born in New York City, he was raised there and in Orange, New Jersey.

Burton

Susan Frances Thompson Burton (Haag), 75, of St. Marys passed away Dec. 7, 2020, at the residence of her son, Robert Alan Cox. Services to celebrate her life will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, at St. Marys Church in St. Marys with Rev. Randall Dockery officiating. Susan was born Jan.

Bob

Felecia Renea Bob, 54, completed her life's journey at her home in Kingsland on Friday, Dec. 4, 2020.   Felecia, aka Lisa, was born to the late Gary Lorenzo Bob and Julia Mae Young Bob on May 25, 1967, in Ocala, Florida.
