Parsons

Earline M. Franklin Parsons, 78, of Woodbine died Wednesday morning, Sept. 30, 2020, at her residence after a brief illness. Mrs. Parsons was born in Brewton, Alabama, to the late Lawrence Albert “Sonny” Franklin Sr. and Patsy Viola Hobbs Franklin and made Woodbine her home for the past 21 years.

Clements

Andrew Frank Clements, 75, of St. Marys died Thursday morning, Sept. 24, 2020, at Southeast Georgia Health System, Camden, after an extended illness. Mr. Clements was born in Ludowici to the late Dan and Alene Passmore Clements and made St. Marys his home the past several years.

Parish

Clarence Lamar Parish Sr., 61, of Woodbine transitioned from labor to reward on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2020, at Baptist Hospital, Jacksonville, Florida.  On Feb. 21, 1959, God allowed a very special child, Clarence Lamar Parish Sr., to be birthed into this world.

McCall

Mac McCall passed away on Sept. 20 in Fayetteville, North Carolina, after a brief bout with cancer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Paula McCall. Dad was born near Blenheim, South Carolina. He joined the Coast Guard at the age of 17 and retired to St. Marys in 1977.

Grose

Mary Sue Williams Grose, 89 of St. Marys died Aug. 29, 2020. After her cancer diagnosis, she continued to inspire her loved ones with her unwavering positive attitude. She lived out her final days with joy and laughter and made the world a brighter, better place.

Cleghorn

Mr. Benny “Ben” Lamar Cleghorn Jr., 46, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2020 in Kingsland.  Mr. Cleghorn was born Oct. 13, 1973, in Jacksonville to Linda Crosby Cleghorn and the late Benny Cleghorn Sr.

Nolan

Donald J. Nolan, 71, of Bullhead Bluff passed away late Sunday evening, Sept. 21, 2020, at his residence after an extended illness. Mr. Nolan was born in Oneida, Kentucky, to the late Bill Nolan and Doris Hensley Davidson and had made Bullhead Bluff his home for the past 32 years.

Lloyd

Lewis Washington Lloyd, 93, of Folkston passed away Sunday, Sept. 20, 2020, in Waycross. L.W. Lloyd was born Dec. 18, 1926, in Folkston to the late Allen Jackson Lloyd and Alberta Davis Lloyd.

Casto

The Rev. R. Richard “Dick” Casto passed away on Sept. 15, 2020, at Ocala Regional Medical Center in Ocala, Florida, surrounded by his family.   Known to many as Father Dick, Richard spent most of his life helping others. He was a wonderful brother, husband, father, grandfather, mentor and friend.

Hogan

“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven … A time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance.” Ecclesiastes 3-4. In the quiet hours of early morning Sept. 17, 2020, Harriet Elizabeth Thrower Hogan passed peacefully in her sleep.
