Myers

Cody Andrew-Godfredson Myers, 26, passed away at UF Health Shands in Jacksonville, Florida, on Feb. 4, 2021. He was born in Las Vegas, Nevada. Coming from Gig Harbor, Washington, he has resided in Kingsland since 2018. He was employed with the U.S. Navy as a radioman.

Williams

Loretta Belle Nightingale Williams passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021, at Southeast Georgia Health System in St. Marys.  Loretta Belle Nightingale Williams was born March 28, 1934, in Kingsland to the late Oliver L. Nightingale Sr. and the late Thelma Morris Jones.

Jackson

Donald J. Jackson, 60, of Kingsland passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Nov. 24, 1960, to the late Osby and Vera Lee Jackson. Donald attended school in Camden County and joined the job corp.

Carter

Richard Charles Carter, born Aug. 20, 1940, in Lamoni, Iowa, died Jan. 19, 2020, in Folkston. While attending UCLA in the 1960s, Rick was a member of The Resistance, an antiwar/antidraft group.

Riggins

Joseph Madison Riggins, 88, of St. Marys passed away Friday, Feb. 5, 2021, at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb.

Hughes

Alice Townsend Hughes, 91, of Kingsland passed away on Jan. 27, 2021, at her residence. Funeral were held at 11 a.m. Feb. 1, at Kingsland First United Methodist Church. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery in Jacksonville, Florida. Visitation was from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31.

Watts

Charles Cleveland Watts Sr., 65, of St. Marys passed away Jan. 29, 2021, at his residence. Services to celebrate his life were held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, with Rev. Jan Conner officiating from the Woodbine United Methodist Church. A visitation for family and friends followed the service.

Maurer

Richard “Brandon” Maurer passed away unexpectedly on June 11, 2020, in Mobile, Alabama, due to metastatic melanoma. He was 39 years old. Brandon, born in South Carolina, graduated from Camden County High School, Kingsland, in 2000.

Davis

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that the family of Charles Robert Davis Jr. announces his death. He passed away from a rare form of cancer at home surrounded by his family on Dec. 20, 2020, in Houston, Texas. Born Jan. 2, 1968, in Jacksonville, Florida, and raised in St.

Woodard

Carrie Lee Beasley Woodard was born July 30, 1943 in Hogansville, Georgia, to the late Rean Claude Beasley and Gussie Bell Beasley. She received her education in the Charlton County school system. Carrie Lee was also known as a track star in her Charlton County High School days.   On Tuesday, Feb.
